Hi you radiant girl. The light that you bring to the world shines so brightly. You will come across people in this life who will try and dim that light. There will even be some who try and put it out. Do not let them. Your light is your own and is what makes you, you.
The person you are is enough.
Do not be afraid to lean on others for support. It is okay to ask for help. Feel your feelings. Every single one of them. Do not be afraid to talk about them and know that having them doesn’t make you “too much.”
Make the mess, take up space, talk loudly; dance. Move in the ways that feel good to you. Remember that your body is the only one you get, so pour love into it each and everyday.
Tell yourself that you are beautiful and believe it. Don’t ever let anyone disrespect this beauty. Stick up to anyone who tries. Set boundaries and set them firmly. Boundaries are the space you need to show up for yourself so that you can show up for others.
Give love to the ugliest and darkest parts of yourself. Learn to say “I am sorry” and take ownership when you mess up. Making mistakes will teach you the most valuable lessons. So take the risks and do not be afraid to fail. Be curious. Pick up that camera, style a new outfit, go down a new trail, read the book, go explore a new place. Keep an open mind and embrace the differences in others.
Always be kind.
Lead from your heart and from a place of love. Know that the universe will bring you the love that you put into it. Lean into this.
Express this gratitude daily.
Compliment others and accept the compliments when they are given to you. Just never forget to love yourself more than the need to be loved by other people. Be intentional about who you let into your circle and know that a bigger circle doesn’t always mean better. Connection is built through vulnerability, and the shared human experience. Listen to others' experiences and respond with empathy and intention. Don’t compare yourself.
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Do your best and know that there are no guarantees for tomorrow. Find beauty in each day; explore. Put yourself in places to experience moments of awe.
Believe in yourself.
You are capable of so much and are going to make an impact on this world. Love yourself. Wholly. Completely. Unconditionally. You are worthy of a life filled with joy.
